Family Africa HIV/AIDS Program has an established TB/HIV support group which imparts education, skills training and development programs.
The Mother’s Support and Counseling Centre for HIV positive mothers and their babies includes a free Day Care Centre for the children of HIV positive women, as well as AIDS orphans. Mothers and young women receive education so that their babies have an opportunity to be born HIV negative.
Family Africa HIV/AIDS Program also teaches food gardening, allowing families to have access to fresh, healthy vegetables and fruit, as a means of improving their diet and keeping families healthy.
Family Africa visits Primary and Secondary Schools with their interactive programs, using music and drama to educate the students regarding HIV/AIDS.
Adult Literacy is also part of the training program.
